Eye Candy

Layout and Composition are very important aspects of good design - whether it's 2 or 3 dimensional. Many clues can be seen in nature and in the naturally occurring 'settlement' of things as they fall, pour, blown, carried, burnt or pushed into place by any of the elements. Consider this example of an untouched natural arrangement of bowls, glass and cutlery in a kitchen sink. Notice the circles and their relationships, the angles, shapes and lines of the reflective spoons, the water droplets and the light, colours and shade, all naturally composed in a pleasing and enclosed group of 'things'.
